Who We Are

We are here not for income, but for outcome

We are an independently run non-profit organisation working on the development of computational education programmes for at-risk communities. Through our partnership with advocacy programmes such as Kely Support Group and Christian Action, we strive to raise awareness of the challenges faced by underprivileged communities and highlight their ability to overcome.

“Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do!”

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Why We Do it

In today’s technological age, one commodity has become invaluable: creative talent.

There is an unprecedented and growing demand for out-of-the-box, design led creative and computational thinking from employers, governments and society across the globe.

FarGo Foundation fuels demand for creative talent with accessible courses that give people the necessary skills to deploy creative talent into the corporate and working environment.
FarGo Foundation fundamentally believes that the world’s creative needs offer a pivotal opportunity for underprivileged and at-risk communities everywhere.

Our History

Helping others is not a job, it is a calling

  • Where It All Began

Founded in 2012 by Chris Geary, FarGo Foundation was established to provide computational education and opportunities for at-risk communities and youth in Hong Kong.

  • Every Single Campaign Counts

In order to continuously see our community Go Further, we run three separate programmes: Streetpoppy, Refugeek and Hack Champions. In the future, we hope to incorporate even more programmes and initiatives.

  • So Much More to Achieve

We aim to expand our current programmes in an effort to include more communities and serve more people in Hong Kong.

  • All People Matter

From the founders to the volunteers to the participants who attend our programmes, we all work together to bring more accessible resources and education to those in need.

  • The Big Movement

We hope to inspire outside the box thinking as well as provide computational education for underprivileged communities throughout Hong Kong.

  • There is Good in The World

Our volunteers are willing to give up their time and energy to support our programmes and make a change in Hong Kong. Join our team and make a difference.
